Many maps of Venice that are offered either free or sold do not include all of the many and varied street types and sottoportegos. Three recommended ones for the visitor are ahown below.
Calli, Campielli & Canali
This is the ultimate guide map set to Venice, with every detail included. It is also supported by a sequential itinerary for each district taking in many significant buildings (e.g. Scuola, Palazzo and so on).
Venezia
This is the best compact map available and is the next best alternative to Calli, Campielli & Canali. It has nearly the same level of detail as the map book above but in a fold-out map format. May be hard to source. Try Walk #10, point of interest number 25, Libreria Acqua Alta, or perhaps Walk #13, point of interest number 19, La Toletta Librerie.
Marco Polo Venice
Available through Amazon or at news stands. Useful.
